During my internship at Credit Suisse, I have certainly grown and nurtured my professional skills. I have learned about the worth of dedication, teamwork and respect at all levels and in all directions of a workplace. My computer skills (particularly excel) have certainly improved and I was glad to have been able to apply what I have learned right away to my university assignments that I had to complete whilst on this internship. My professional communication skill have improved because I was in contact (mainly by mail or telephone) with various people in the Bank and requesting for input on a number of tasks I was assigned with. I am now able to compile a professional and polite email for instance.
In general, I am better informed about the Asset Management industry and being at Credit Suisse has fortified my will to be in the financial market. My team was very helpful. I understand how busy they can all be at times, but I am grateful all the same for their guidance, input and constructive advice.
My host family was genuinely very kind, understanding and supportive. I appreciated the benefit of being with a host family, as opposed to staying in a student hostel or anything of the kind. They showed me so many places and introduced me to so many (new things) and people. They were always available to answer questions I would usually come home with, after a day of sightseeing. I felt I had a 'home-away-from-home' with them because they made me a part of the family in so many ways.
The team of B360 has been supportive from the moment we landed and throughout the entire program. Even B360 board members were interested in meeting us and hearing about our experiences and it was lovely! My lowlights were that I had to stay home and do assignments that demanded so much time and attention.
I'm very grateful to everyone that made this life-transforming experience possible. I shall cherish it for the rest of my life, because I believe it is the beginning of many other wonderful endeavors.
