B360 for Volunteers

We collaborate directly with institutes of higher education in Southern Africa, in areas that can make a significant contribution to mid- and long-term economic and social development. Targeting these needs, we recruit volunteer lecturers, from the European public and private sectors, to create and deliver relevant content for teaching assignments lasting a minimum of three weeks.

Time frame: On average, assignments last three weeks plus travel days. The assignment format and workload varies and is tailor-made and discussed in detail prior to departure.

Subjects: Food Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Mechanical and Civil Engineering, Economics, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Marketing, Communication, Journalism and Media Technology, Human Resources and Hospitality Management. Additional disciplines are continually being added to meet specific local requirements.

Volunteer profile: University or Fachhochschule degree or vocational training degree with additional specialization. Significant work experience including management and/or training/lecturing experience. Proficient knowledge of English, interest in different countries and cultures, flexibility, improvisation skills, an open mind.

Accommodation: In Namibia the school arranges for self-catering flats on campus, in Zambia and South Africa hotel accommodation near the campus is available.

Costs: Assignments are done on a volunteer basis, i.e. no salary or consultancy fee is paid. Health and Accident Insurance have to be covered by the volunteers.
