Cooperation with university staff
The cooperation with the university staff was almost perfect. The support of other B360-experts already on-site was of great help, so my needs could be brought over completely. The microbiology and first aid courses were optimal. Only the radiation course could be improved by better embedment into the general program, transferring in advance all of the specific information to the guest lecturer to guarantee a harmonized knowledge.
Cooperation with students
The students of microbiology and first aid classes not only showed a great interest to the matter, but also brought in critical questions and remarks, starting a challenging and enthusiastic interaction with the lecturer. High respect but also scientific reflection and logical thinking took place and finally ended by a high added-value course, especially when the basic knowledge had to be applied to practical (and real) scenarios the lecturer was confronted with in the past.
Impact and win-win
The over 30 year-experience brought to the students had a great impact, considering reactions and interactions that came up. It also allows to quickly put in relation theoretical knowledge learnt and practical application in daily life of these future scientific employees. For me, the win-win situation is brought by the challenging questioning, so I stay up-to-date.
Personal message
The great satisfaction after such a mission is still a feeling that “goes deep to my bones”. I also concluded that “less is more”. It is the first time I had only 3 classes, and appreciated to have more time for the students. But 1-2 would be optimal to be able to better know the students in that short period of time, so it would be possible to take into account personal needs and to guide the students with more needs.
