Network in africa
The South-South Program aims at building a sustainable and successful partnership between B360, NUST, local professionals, companies and organizations. The goal is to facilitate the know-how exchange of Namibian companies, professionals, B360 intern alumni with students, lecturers and university management.
Side by side with European experts, local professionals are volunteering in our programs, contributing the important country-specific aspects. Hopefully, this initiative will contribute to the local support for young people looking for employment and/or wishing to start their own business.
“South-South” is a milestone for B360. It is our firm conviction that a sustainable development cooperation must result in countries shaping and driving their own future.
Activities
Networking event Namibia 2025
On March 6, we had our annual networking event 2025 in Namibia. Around 90 B360 alumni, representatives of the partner universities and partner companies as well as B360 experts met in Windhoek for an exchange.
During the event, Nico Smit, International Officer and B360 Coordinator at NUST, spoke about the 16 year old partnership with B360. He showed with impressive numbers the impact for NUST students and the investment made into the cooperation by B360, the Swiss internship companies and B360’s volunteer experts. Charmaine Jansen, lecturer in the Health Science department at NUST, spoke about her cooperation with B360 since 2010 and thanked the B360 experts for the knowhow they have been sharing with the students for many years. Ndapwa Kwedhi, senior B360 alumni member, spoke about how the alumni organization has grown, her engagement as an alumni member for B360 and how important it is to pay forward.
Networking event Zambia 2024
On August 12, we had our annual networking event 2024 in Zambia. Around 100 B360 alumni, representatives of the partner universities and partner companies met in Lusaka for an exchange.
The event was moderated by the two B360 northbound alumni Tamandani Mwalusaka and Aston Mambwe. Speakers Sabina Balmer (B360), Professor Bryson Mumba (UNILUS), Dr. Dale Mudenda (UNZA), Gerald Soko (Vice President B360 Zambia Alumni) and Ada Jalasi Ngulube (partner organization ZICTA) provided exciting and varied presentations.
Networking event Namibia 2024
On March 12, we had our networking event 2024 in Namibia. More than 100 participants met at the NUST Hotel School for a convivial exchange. They included representatives from Namibian companies and the Namibia University of Science and Technology, B360 experts from Europe and B360 alumni.
After Sabina Balmer's words of welcome, Nico Smit, International Officer and B360 Coordinator, greeted the attendees on behalf of NUST. He was followed by engaging words from Anna Tomas and Fransina Amukalu, two B360 alumni who completed their internships in Switzerland in 2023. The event was rounded off with a motivating keynote speech by Zelda van den Berg, Manager for Talent Management and Acquisition at Bank Windhoek.
Networking event in Sambia 2023
In August 2023, the first networking event was held in Zambia. Over 60 B360 alumni, representatives of the partner universities and partner companies met in Lusaka for an interesting and fun exchange.
Networking event Namibia 2023
More than 80 Namibian Professionals, B360 experts from Europe, members of the B360 Intern Alumni and representatives of NUST got together at the NUST Hotel School for a social networking event. The B360 networking event was a success: new contacts were established and even a job offer resulted from the event for one of our alumni members.
Networking event Namibia 2022
It was a great pleasure to be able to hold a networking event again after the coronavirus-related break. The 50 attendees - representatives of Namibian companies and universities, experts from Europe and B360 alumni - were delighted to see each other again for an exchange.
