My volunteer work at NUST as a guest lecturer was a truly rewarding experience, allowing me to contribute meaningfully to the professional development of students and the broader goal of reducing graduate unemployment. As a South African, I am acutely aware of the challenges faced by graduates in accessing job opportunities, making this topic particularly meaningful to me.
I really appreciated the enthusiasm and receptiveness of the students that was evident from the outset, reflecting their eagerness to learn and equip themselves with the necessary skills and knowledge to enhance their employability.
The sessions were very interactive which facilitated meaningful exchanges, where students could ask questions, share their experiences, and work on group exercises.
One aspect of my experience at NUST that I hold particularly dear is the close bond that I formed with the students. The genuine enthusiasm, receptiveness of the students and the mutual respect made it difficult for me to leave at the end of assignment.
