Cooperation with university staff

The cooperation with the people we dealt with at the UNILUS was very good; everybody was willing to help, engaged and interested in establishing contact. Even turning to (mostly Rabecca our main contact) several times a day, she was always very supportive.

Cooperation with students

Students were engaged, eager to learn and participate. They shared their own thoughts and ideas and actively took part in all assignments. A number of them pointed out that working in groups was highly appreciated as this has not been practice enough throughout their regular studies.

Impact and win-win

“Those that teach are those that learn.” This is mostly true with the CSW! While providing “western” professional techniques to the students, as an expert you learn how and in which way these practices can be applied in African countries; how to be professional when means are limited? How to start a business with very little financial sources and no possibility to obtain public funding? The time together was a benefit for both sides! On top the participation of Zambian professionals was an additional highlight. How do local professionals “translate” and use the lecture material? Therefore, it was not just win – win, it was win – win – win.

Memorable Event

Moments that stuck out?! When saying goodbye, it was no longer just ending a workshop or a teaching session – it was saying goodbye to people that got close to us. There were some very heartwarming moments. Besides the contacts with the university staff (mostly Rabecca, Isaac and Joseph) – but even the dean seemed to be personally interested.

EXPECTANCIES

Expectations or better hopes: That some contacts remain, that students might reach out in case of any questions regarding their future application process and that the cooperation with UNILUS will continue and prosper.

Personal message

Thank you very much for the opportunity!!
