Update February 2023

The internships in Switzerland are underway...

The 10 students from Namibia and Zambia started their three-month internship at bob Finance AG, Büchi Labortechnik AG, Credit Suisse, Ferrum AG and Julius Baer on February 2. The feedback so far from host families, partner companies and interns has been positive - apart from the frosty temperatures, which are getting to the young people from Southern Africa.

On February 18, the interns met in Zug, the hometown of B360, for the traditional excursion with workshop, city tour, pizza and many selfies!

...and a new B360 program is taking off!

Because it is very difficult for young people in Southern Africa - despite a good education - to get a job, we developed the virtual B360 Job Search Support program and launched it in 2022 as a pilot project with six volunteer mentors. The program, which is financially supported by Roche, aims to support and accompany young people in their individual job search with personal coaching and internet access. High-performing participants of our Career Starter Course as well as B360 Intern Alumni can participate in the program following their physical and virtual internships. We are very pleased that the program is continuing since beginning of February with another 11 Namibian mentees and European mentors.

“The Job Search Support Program has been a great help in my job search journey. It did not only provide career guidance, but it also provided character building. Kudos to my mentor and the entire B360 team. Thank you.” Flora Mushongo – Mentee

“I was impressed with the positive spirit my mentee approached the job search process despite incredible challenges to support themselves and the families in daily life.” Peter Schmuki - Mentor

We will keep you updated.

Best regards
