update july 2023

The first six months have truly flown by for us. The outcome is pleasing and positive.
An overview:

Northbound: 10 students from Namibia and Zambia successfully completed their three-month internships at bob Finance AG, Büchi Labortechnik AG, Credit Suisse, Ferrum AG, Bank Julius Bär and returned to their countries in April. Find their reports HERE.

Southbound: 6 volunteer expert assignments at NUST (Namibia University of Science and Technology) took place in different departments. To the reports HERE

Virtual Volunteering: 2 virtual Career Starter courses could be held with students from UNILUS (University of Lusaka) and finished with the B360 certificate. Read the testimonials on this LINK

11 mentors have accompanied young Namibians with great commitment within the framework of the B360 Job Search Support Mentoring Program.

South-South: Sabina Balmer welcomed numerous B360 alumni, as well as local and international guests to the B360 Networking Event in Windhoek on March 2.

A highlight of this year's B360 event on June 20 at Schloss Sihlberg in Zurich was the visit of alumna Rabecca Hatoongo from UNILUS. See more on this LINK

Letisia Petrus, former NUST student and participant and winner of the Virtual Internship Award 2022 (funded by the Staub Kaiser Foundation), was in Switzerland for two weeks.

A heavily packed program also in the second half of 2023

An outlook:

Northbound: 7 students from Namibia have been selected for a three-month internship in Switzerland and Liechtenstein with our partner companies Julius Bär, LGT Bank, Motorex AG, ZHAW, Zweifel Pomy-Chips AG.

Southbound: At UNILUS, the popular Career Starter courses will continue in August. 2 B360 experts will travel to Zambia for this purpose.

South-South: For the first time, 2 B360 Career Starters will be held in Namibia together with Bank Windhoek and experts from LGT Bank. A pilot project that we are particularly pleased about and a further step in the development of our South-South program

B360 Intern Alumni Zambia: Sabina Balmer will welcome former B360 Interns to the Alumni Zambia meeting in Lusaka in August.

In September, the Job Search Support Mentoring Program is moving into its 3rd round.

We will continue to update you on the progress and the results of the various projects in due course.

Thank you

We are aware that we can only accomplish these tasks with the support of numerous partners, volunteers, our donors and sponsors, experts and mentors. For this we thank you very much.

Best regards
