Using Zoom, Ernst Elsener and myself taught over six weeks an online seminar named eduCreate “Transform f2f to Blended or Online Learning”. It’s main goal was to train TSIBA faculty members in actively using eLearning tools facilitated by their school in their teaching. Course preparation and the actual start of the seminar focused on the use of Moodle, a worldwide used open-source online Learning Management System (LMS).

In the second week of the virtual seminar, TSIBA management decided to change their LMS from Moodle to Classe365 on the spot, an until then unknown LMS for all of us. This meant for us lecturers as well as for the participants and the TSIBA management: “Changing the wheels on a moving train”.

From the feedback of the course participants we learned, that – nevertheless – we were able to provide useful information as well as opportunities for practical training.

Personal NOTE

All in all a very insightful and good experience for me, apart from the fact that the stress level was remarkable high.
